The Wisdom River Gallery is owned and operated by Daryll and Kay Jacobson, longtime residents of Wisdom.

In 1984, the Jacobsons purchased the Basin Mercantile building, which was at that time the rented office of the local Forest Service. Daryll's woodworking experience and sense of design enabled him to remodel the office spaces and bunk rooms into a beautiful gallery.

The immense structure, with beamed ceilings and barn wood walls, has a certain charm and classic western style, and is a wonderful setting for the Gallery, the Big Hole Crossing Restaurant, and a Prudential Montana Real Estate Satellite Office.
