This custom timber frame home is located approximately 12 miles South of Alder, Montana in Madison County and is accessed by a paved County Road which is known as Upper Ruby Rd. Upper Ruby Rd is the access road past the Ruby River Reservoir which is approximately 2 miles from the home. Barton Gulch Road intersects with The Upper Ruby Rd on the East side of the Reservoir approximately 10 miles from Alder. At that point, you would turn East and travel about 2 miles on Barton Gulch Road where the property lies to the North of the road.

The small town of Alder provides limited services including a school (K-8), gas station & convenience store combination, restaurants, motel and taverns. Sheridan, approximately 20 miles North, would be the nearest community which has typical small town services including schools (K-12), medical clinic, county hospital and various commercial enterprises. Commercial air service would be from Butte or Bozeman which are both about equal distances, 75 miles, from the property.

Description of the land

The terrain varies from gentle slopes on the West side of the property to steeper terrain as you head east up Barton Gulch. According to county records there is approximately 51 acres which would consist of timber and the remaining 138 acres are used primarily for grazing.
