    The ranch is divided into two types of terrain. The meadow section is approximately 100 acres and contains the ditch irrigated hay ground, most of the trees, and the two channels of North Meadow Creek. The upper ground is primarily hillside grazing running and contains the balance of the acreage. There is pretty good grass, enough to provide forage for a small herd of horses or cattle.

Nearby, the Madison River, the Bear Trap Canyon Wilderness Area, and Ennis Lake combine to make this area of southwestern Montana the fly fishing capitol of the world. In addition to fishing, there is whitewater rafting and kayaking for the more adventurous, as well as sailing, wind surfing, canoeing and just plain tubing. The many rivers and lakes in the region attract a wide variety of waterfowl in large numbers during the season, and there is also grouse and Hungarian available.
